Can someone else drive the car?
The rental car’s insurance coverage applies exclusively to the individual who has made the rental agreement. Should any additional drivers wish to operate the vehicle, extra fees will apply.
How old should the driver be in order to rent a car?
To rent a car in Greece, you must be a minimum of 21 years old and possess a valid driver’s license for at least one year. For specific car categories, including Premium luxury vehicles, the age requirement is 25 years or older. Renters under the age of 25 are subject to a New Driver Fee.
Can I extend the rental period?
You can extend your reservation period at any time before the rental. However, this will affect the cost of your rental and it is always subject to availability.
What should I do when I pick up my car?
- Check the car
- Walk around the car and look inside, checking for damage. If you find any, ask the agent to mark it on your rental agreement.
- Check what fuel it takes
- Ask the agent or see the fuel cap.
- Check the amount of fuel
- Usually the customer prepays a full tank of fuel and returns the car on empty.
- Prepare your route
- If your car has GPS, set it to your language before you head off. You may choose the destination before you start.
- Take a moment
- Take a minute to adjust the mirrors, move the seat, find the reverse, check where the indicators are and make yourself feel confident and comfortable behind the wheel.
Does the car have a full tank when I receive it?
Prepaid Fuel: The customer prepays a full fuel tank at the start of the rental at the average local market price. At the end of the rental, the customer can return the car with an empty fuel tank. If fuel is left in the tank when the vehicle is returned, Jeep in Athens will not refund the amount corresponding to this fuel. But if the customer returns the car with a full tank, then Jeep in Athens refunds the prepaid fuel money to the customer.
Is it possible to drop off the car at a different location?
Yes, it is allowed to have different pick up and drop off locations. All you have to do is to inform us as soon as possible in order to arrange it.
What documents will I need to provide?
You must have your driver’s license with you at the start of the rental. You must have it issued at least one year before the rental date. You must also have your ID or passport with you. All of the above must display the driver’s name.
About driving license: You must hold a driving license issued by a European Union country or have an International Driving Permit. The driving license of the country of the car’s driver must accompany the International Driving Permit.
A credit card is always required for every car rental as a guarantee, even if you choose to pay for the rental in cash.
Can I drop off later than my drop off time?
If you drop the car off later than arranged on your booking, you might be charged a late fee. Please contact us as soon as possible in order
Will I get the exact make and model which I have reserved?
We guarantee the car model, but in the rare case that something happens and the car is not available, we will inform you as soon as possible and find a very similar model for you.
